U10 Marblehead Killer Bee’s vs.
Beverly
5-0 Marblehead
Marblehead’s U10 girls indoor team,
the Killer Bee’s played an incredible game this past
Saturday! The first half was a real battle against
Beverly. Amanda (subbing from Marblehead’s A
team) served as an excellent goalie. The girls
showed off their strong team skills with great
passing, back passing, and great shots at goal by
Gabriella , Hannah Garthe and Alicia .
We also saw great defensive maneuvering by Maeve
, Sloane , and Eliza .
We were 0-0 at the end of the first
half.
But then something interesting
happened . . . the second half was an all out
rampage! The crowds cheered as Olivia made a
tough pass to Amanda for the 1st goal of
the game! Megan (another sub from the A
team) attempted a tricky shot at goal, Lindsay
immediately attempted another tough shot,
then it was back down the field where Rory
made a great defensive save. Courtney ,
playing goalie, did a remarkable job defending the
goal and as the action moved quickly up field, Megan
made the game’s 2nd goal! And then
perhaps the games most exciting minutes, Victoria
swooped in with the 3rd and 4th
goals almost consecutively!
With 5 minutes on the clock, Maeve
and Sloane showed great determination and teamwork
sailing down the field, passing back and forth to
each other. Bridget and Gabriella
moved in and helped secure a tough
takeaway from Beverly. Things heated up at Beverly’s
goal, Hannah moved expertly between four Beverly
players, passed to Victoria for the 5th
goal of the game!! Our girls are a team in the true
sense and that sure showed last Saturday.
